How can I set my timezone?

🦉 Easy LMS timezones ✓ Set up your own timezone ✓ Why is the timezone important? ✓ How to calculate the right timezone

We have customers all over the world, and we understand it's important for you to set your account to your own timezone. Here's how that can be done.

How can I set my timezone?

Go to My account > Account > Account timezone and make a selection from the drop-down list, and click Save:

When you first create an account, your timezone is automatically set, but you can change it here at any time.

Why is the timezone important?

Time is entered and logged in a number of places in the system, including:

  • When setting the start and end times of your tests.

  • For all results, reports, statistics, and session details in the system.

  • On all result exports.

  • On the Analyze tab.

  • On the Access pages for Exams and Academy in the Status column.

  • On the Activity log for Exams.

  • When viewing your Webhook history and payloads for Exams.

Will my timezone be reflected everywhere in the system?

Almost! There's one exception. For Exams, when you go to Integrations > Webhook > Show history > View payload, you'll see UTC displayed in the payload. The webhook history page will be in your timezone, however.

UTC is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time. You might hear Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) used as a synonym for UTC. Please note that there is no adjustment for daylight saving with UTC!
