Can I add checkboxes to the login page of my learning content?

🦉 Terms & conditions ✓ Creating mandatory checkboxes for your learning content ✓ Creating optional checkboxes

You might want your users to agree with your Terms and Conditions or ask them if they want to sign up for your newsletter. That is possible by adding checkboxes to the login page of your learning content or the academy.

Whether you'd like your users to agree with your Terms & Conditions or you'd like them to sign up for your newsletter, you can create (mandatory) checkboxes for your Exam or Course.

You can create checkboxes from the Terms & Conditions page of an Exam or Course.

Creating a Terms & Conditions checkbox

A Terms & Conditions checkbox is mandatory by default. A participant cannot proceed to the login page unless this box is checked.

You can enter a sentence that will appear next to the checkbox in the Alternative agreement label field. An example that you could use is:

  • I agree with the {terms and conditions}

The part of the sentence between brackets { } will direct your users to your Terms and Conditions. This link may lead to a specific webpage with your Terms and Conditions. If you prefer this, you can enter the URL of that webpage in the Terms & conditions URL.

If you don't have a webpage with your Terms and Conditions, type them in the Terms & conditions text field.

Creating a mandatory checkbox

If you'd like your users to check another box before starting your Exam or Course, you can create a mandatory checkbox.

You can enter the text that'll appear next to the checkbox in the Mandatory checkbox 1 field. Ensure at least one part of your sentence is between brackets { }. This will create a link directing your participants to the information you want to share. Enter the URL of that webpage in the Mandatory checkbox URL field.

You can add multiple mandatory checkboxes to the login page.

Creating an optional checkbox

If you'd like your users to sign up for a newsletter or to be contacted after completing your Exam or Course, you can create an optional checkbox. You can enter the text for this checkbox in the Optional checkbox 1 field.

For example:

  • Yes, I would like to sign up for your newsletter

  • Yes, you may contact me after the completion of this Exam/Course

You can add multiple optional checkboxes to the login page.

Can checkboxes be checked by default?

It’s not possible to have any checkboxes checked by default. Each participant taking the Exam or Course must manually check them.
