Follow these simple instructions to be able to add fill in the blanks questions to your exam.

It is possible to add fill in the blanks questions that allow your users to write down an answer that is automatically graded by the system. If you're looking for a different question type, read about the question types we have available.

How to set up a fill in the blanks question

Go to your Exam and select Questions > Create new question > Fill in the blanks.

Enter an answer that is simple enough that our system can grade automatically. You can also determine the number for the % of typos allowed, which is the amount that participants answers can deviate from the answer you wrote, like typos or spelling, or writing mistakes. You can select Answers are case-sensitive for answers of people or places, for example.

Add different possible answers on separate lines, so participants have multiple answer choices.

Question set up example:

What is the name of the queen of Great Britain? Possible correct answers: Elizabeth Queen Elizabeth Elizabeth II

On which continent is Brazil? Possible correct answers: America South America Latin America

Plants need ... to do photosynthesis. Possible correct answers: light sunlight sun's rays

Examples of answers:

What is the name of the queen of Great Britain? Elizabeth (correct answer)
Elizabeth (80% correct)
and so on ...
